Sol's Prediction: South Africa 1:3 Mexico

The kick off of the tournament. With the host facing the Mexican wave. On paper look like the Mexican have an edge over the South Africa but we can never rule out the advantage of having the 12th men.
The host are relying on experience player like Steven Pienaar and Aaron Mokoena to make the country proud and get pass the group stage. Katlego Mphela may be the key in this match. If he can keep his scoring boots on, then the host will have a chance to atleast get a draw out of it.
But I still think the Mexican can be the surprise package of this year tournament. Consists of young stars, the trio of Hernandez-Vela-Dos Santos can provide the challenge with the help of the impressive Guardado and the experienced Marquez and supersub Blanco.
So, I have to go for Mexico win. All the host can hope from this match is a draw and try to win the remaining group fixture (it is possible if France can't recover from their slumps). The Mexican firepower will just be too good to handle for Mokoena and co.

players to watch: Pienaar and Hernandez

Key battle: Mphela VS Marquez
ps: its only my humble opinion
